About Us
I am Valerie Skigis, a special education advocate and consultant with over 15 years of experience. As a parent of a child with ASD and multiple disabilities, I have a firsthand understanding of the challenges involved in raising such a child and navigating the IEP process. I have actively participated in numerous IEP Team meetings, gaining valuable insights. Recognizing that every parent is an expert on their child and understands their unique needs, I am here to support and collaborate with you throughout this process. In addition to my advocacy role, I hold a Master of Science in Health Management and Policy, with a minor in Business Management and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology.
I received my Special Education advocacy certification through the Federation of Children with Special Needs. I continuously attend Special Education workshops and trainings to further my education in regards to Special Education and the law.
My professional background includes extensive experience in outpatient physical therapy clinics and working with clients in corporate and commercial wellness centers.
